Add My Condolences

I have enjoyed worked with Denny for the past 20+ years. He was a great problem solver, when a piece of equipment wasn't functioning properly. He always found the solution to the problem!
His easy going personality and good nature made it a pleasure to work with him. I miss him.

Me and Kate didn't know Danny very well since we just moved here, but he was a great neighbor and a great friend in the time that we knew him. I wish we would have had more time to get to know him better .

Where do I start? My uncle Denny was one of a kind. He was kind, funny, sweet and just a generally nice person. He was loved by many and respected by all. I have so many funny memories of him but two come to mind. In September 2009 we went on a family camping trip, one night while sleeping I can’t ember my uncle Denny screaming “ Jackson “ because I had to sleep with my cousins sleeping bag which was a Hannah Montana sleeping bag. Second favorite memory was when my uncle use to laugh at my giant big toe. He even went as far to get me sweet and sour sauce from McDonald’s to “dip my toe” ??. He was just the the most kind human in the world and I can’t believe he is gone. I hope you are having fun up in heaven with grandpa, laughing and smiling down on your family, protecting everyone and making sure they are safe. I love you always, can’t wait to see you again one day!

SONG FOR DENNY

At the horizon which rolls out before you
You pause at the top of the hill
And all that you’ve been is etched in the wind
As the noise and the laughter grow still

And the road at your feet remains incomplete
All the stones rolling out a hard tune
And a threat unannounced surfaced and pounced
With a farewell delivered too soon

As you walk away
There’s so much to say
But there’s something of which there’s no doubt
For no one denies
You were the greatest of guys
And who can you say that about, friends
Who else can you say that about?

There will be alarms from your brothers in arms
For you worked just hard as you played
And there will be claims from friends at the games
How much they had wished you had stayed

And remember the part when a girl stole your heart
You said you loved her as you crossed to the door
And from some distant star there are four from afar
You’ll watch over ’til the sea leaves the shore

As you walk away
There’s so much to say
But there’s something of which there’s no doubt
For no one denies
You were the greatest of guys
And who can you say that about, friends
Who else can you say that about?

I wish I knew words that could express our grief and sense of loss and that could convey Anything close to proper condolences. I also wish I could stop crying long enough to say something that makes sense.

Denny was one of a kind. The Lord broke the mold after giving him to the world. It would not have been possible to have hoped for a better man to be husband to our sister, and father to their awesome children. To have him also become such a close friend was truly a blessing from God. I will never forget his kindness, understanding, smile and sense of humor and all the great times and memories we all got to share with him. He set an example for everyone to be positive, hard working, dedicated and loving. That's quite a rare combination. I hope and pray we could have more people like Denny in the world. We have lost one of the best men I ever knew. The pain of his loss is hard and heavy right now but the great memories and the lessons he taught all that knew him will live on in our hearts and minds forever. Marcia and my greatest condolences to Lisa, Shane, Todd, Heather, their loved ones and everyone that was lucky enough to have Denny in their lives.
