Charles D. Rhoads Sr., 89, husband of the late Lois Ann (Reigner) Rhoads, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Frederick Living.
Born in Lower Frederick Township, he was the son of the late John R. Rhoads and Alice W. (Simmons) Rhoads.
Charles served for more than 40 years with the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. He also served on many other agricultural boards and organizations within the county. Charles was a longtime member of New Hanover Lutheran Church. He was very social and enjoyed getting together with his family and friends throughout his life.
Surviving are his two children C. David Rhoads Jr., husband of Lori, and Mary Alice Mack, wife of James; grandchildren Kristy Gress, wife of Greg, Ann Marie Broyan, wife of Benny, and Cindy Mack; great grandchildren Kasey, Morgan and Hailey Gress, Isaiah, Emma, and Faith Broyan.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00AM at New Hanover Lutheran Church (2941 Lutheran Rd, Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Pastor Kay Braun officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. A viewing will also be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 9:00-10:45AM at the church. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hanover Lutheran Church in Charles’ name.
