Ann M. (Adams) Mehallick, 90, wife of the late George Mehallick, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Grega) Adams.
During the 1970s through the 1980s, Ann worked as a hostess at Sunnybrook Restaurant in Pottstown, where she developed many lifelong friendships.
Ann was the president of the St. John’s Ladies Guild for over 10 years. In that capacity she planned and organized all guild activities including the group’s biggest fundraisers which were the semi-annual baking of nut rolls, poppyseed rolls, and holy bread for Christmas and Easter.
Ann enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, vacationing in Sea Isle City, playing pinochle with friends, watching Phillies games on television, exercising at the gym, going on cruises in the Caribbean, and keeping in touch with her friends and relatives. She was especially fond of attending the annual Adams family reunion which has been held for over 60 years.
Surviving is her son Jeff Mehallick, husband of Kathleen; sister Elizabeth Biasi; sister-in-law Dorothy Dankanich; sister-in-law JoAnn Potash; grandchildren Matthew Mehallick, husband of Maura, Tyler Mehallick, and Jonathan Mehallick; great granddaughter Maeve Mehallick and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Mary Boyle, Joseph Adams, John Adams, George Adams, Margaret Santangelo, and Andrew Adams.
A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. John Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church (301 Cherry St, Pottstown, PA 19464). Burial will follow at St. John Baptist Byzantine Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Parastas prayer service will be held at 7:45PM. Viewing will also be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund for St. John Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Ann’s name.
