Edward Joseph Goddard Sr, 86, husband of Theresa A. (Kuligowski) Goddard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William and Bridget (Ruane) Goddard.

Edward proudly served in the United States Army. He achieved an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Edward had a long career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper. He spent many years teaching safety at the local schools in the area with “Safety Sam”. Edward was a delegate FOP. He was very dedicated to his work and volunteered much of his time to giving back to the community. Edward organized the Clam Bake for the State Police for over 37 years. He was on the committee for arbitration for the Pennsylvania State Police. He had a strong handshake and was a regular customer at Saville’s Diner in Boyertown. Edward was a longtime member of St. Columbkill Church in Boyertown.

Surviving along with his wife Theresa of 60 years, are his sons William Goddard, husband of Renee, and Edward Goddard Jr.; Grandchildren Ashley Ann, Brittany, Courtney, and Joseph; Great Grandchild Marissa; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Dorothy, Helen, and Ruth.

Services will be held privately by the family at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America (188 N Main St, Doylestown, PA 18901) in Edward’s name.

Whenever you hear the phrase : Showing Respect towards others !Mr Goddard stood above all by doing this his entire life. He will be missed by so many and my Thoughts and Prayers go out to his Family and everyone he touched over the years.
