Jane E. (Smith) Roth, 92, wife of the late Elmer C. Roth Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Boyertown, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Minnie (Gable) Smith.
Jane was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville, where she also taught Sunday school. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts Pack #36 for 10 years. Jane was the manager of the Boyertown Area Junior High West cafeteria for 32 years.
Surviving her are her children Eugene Roth, husband of Melanie, of Boyertown, Sylvia Stiglic, wife of John, of Royersford, Brian Roth, husband of Laurene, of Lewes, Delaware; sister Donna K. Horn, of Boyertown; grandchildren Chad, Chase, Ryan, Karen, Gillian, and Olivia; and great grandchildren Janalyn, Ava, Karalyn, Hannah, Alex, Riley, and Reed. She is predeceased by her siblings E. Kenneth Smith, Richard B. Smith, and Eugene D. Smith.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 10:00-11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525). The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Robert D. Machamer Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown.
