Carole D. (Kapp) Bain, 84, wife of the late David Bain, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Paoli Hospital in the greater Philadelphia area.
Born in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Alla (Schwartz) Kapp.
Carole had a witty sense of humor and a unique ability to make people laugh. While raising her boys she worked part-time as a pharmacy technician. She was very social and enjoyed conversing and connecting with people. She continued this in her later years by volunteering at hospitals and doctor’s offices.
Carole had a deep love for the city of Chicago which included seeing Wrigley Field and the downtown from her window, walking around the lakefront, and enjoying her beautiful circle of close friends.
One of her greatest joys was talking on the phone with her cousin CeCe who she thought of as her sister. A close second was her undying love for drinking Coca-Cola.
She lived a life filled with travel, family, and friends.
She is survived by her sons Daniel “Dan” (Tracy) Bain, and Robert “Bob” (Melissa) Bain; and her grandchildren: Mark, Lisa, and Carson. She is predeceased by her longtime companion David Hirsch.
A memorial service will be held in Chicago later this summer.
