Steven R. Raber, 61

Steven R. Raber, 61, of Douglassville, passed away Wednesday June 15, 2022 at the Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Holyoke, MA, he was the son of the late Peter and Audrey May (Watts) Raber.

“Our Steve” served in the US Air Force. He was a dedicated member of the Reading Motorcycle Club. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed cooking, fishing, and riding his Harley. Steve had a mischievous smile that was hard to resist and anyone that knew him loved him.

Surviving is his brother John Raber husband of Christine; sister Donna Raber Baer wife of Michael; nieces and nephew Sarah and Luke Groth, and Olivia Raber.

Along with his parents, Steven was predeceased by his brother Peter J. Raber Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steven’s memory to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 131 Berks County, PA, PO Box 13735, Reading, PA 19612.

Just saw this and I apologize for being so late, but I served with Steve when we first joined the Air Force in Austin in 81-82. Worked with Steve for quite awhile and loved every minute of it. Miss you Steve!

We are so sorry about your loss, I saw him a couple of weeks ago cutting his grass! It was good seem him riding his beloved motorcycle!

So sorry to hear of about Steve a good friend of over 50 years. Saw him back in February so it’s shock to hear of his passing. Never forget all the good times we had.
