Robert Franciose, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2022, after a nine-year battle with Cancer.
Born in Lynn, Mass to the late Robert and Jeanette Franciose.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teri (Teressa). He also leaves behind a son Robert (HariBeth) of Starlight Lake, Pa.; his step-children, which he cherished and loved as his own – Christine Pyne (Jeff) of Newburg, Pa., Cherie Koontz of Easton, Md., and Norman Koontz, of Pottstown, Pa.; in addition, six beautiful grandchildren – Aaron, Brenna, Brittany, Mela, Avery and Stella; and two great-grandchildren – Trey and Lilly.
After graduating from Michigan State University (Bachelor of Science Degree), and Pepperdine University (Masters of Business Administration), he went on to work with General Electric/Lockheed Martin, with over 50 years of service. He received numerous awards and accolades, including the GE General Managers Award, Iridium Satelite Service Recognition, the Lockheed Martin NOVA Award for ACES, and many others. His work involved extensive travels throughout the world – Singapore, China, South America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, to name a few. You could sit for hours and listen to his monologues, about the adventures and the people he met along the way.
He often referred to himself as a curmudgeon, however, he loved his family and friends greatly. One of the many highlights of his life included travels to Mexico, Europe, and the Bahamas. There were also fun times with the grandchildren – sledding the slopes in Syracuse, kayaking at Marsh Creek, and challenging games of Chess. He also treasured game nights, whether it was Tripoly, Sequence, or Chicken Foot Dominos, it always included laughter and amusement.
