Add My Condolences

I am saddened to discover that my friend and “sister” Lorene has gone home. We became acquainted when I served for a time as Wesley College’s alumni director. We bonded immediately over our names and we talked often. When Lorene and Jim got married, I was privileged to be invited to their wedding and reception. It was so amusing when she introduced me as her namesake and sister. She kept me up to date on things going on in her life, at her church and I did likewise. We were also both United Methodist. When earlier attempts to reconnect failed, I felt she had received her wings. Though I am saddened that I did not get to see her again on this side, I will know where to find her. God bless her sweet soul and her legacy.

All through my childhood, I remember her so clearly at church on Sundays. Always giving a sense of calm, strength and with a gentle nature. I was always happy to see her. My loving condolences and God Bless.
