Lawrence “Larry” Mark Wildemore Sr., 76, husband of Dorothy Carol (Black) Wildemore, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Horace and Claire (Bird) Wildemore.
Larry proudly served in the United States Army as a MP. Larry serving as police officer in Upper Southampton for 32 years where he retired as a Sargent and moved to FL where bridges don’t freeze before roads.
Larry was also a firefighter for Upper Southampton Fire Department. Larry ran as an ambulance driver and was a past chief for Trevose heights Rescue Squad. Larry was a huge fan of musicals and theatrical shows. He also enjoyed going to Wawa for his morning, afternoon and evening coffee. Larry liked going camping along with road trips with his family and extended firefighting family and was known for his famous campfire songs and shenanigans. He was the founder and organizer of Wildetur, where he organized these said trips.
Surviving along with his wife Dorothy of 50 years, is his son Lawrence “Little Larry” Wildemore Jr.; daughter Kelly Ciaciak, wife of Robert; granddaughter Amanda Branyan; and his beloved dog Trey. He is predeceased by his brother Lee Wildemore.
