Girolamo “Luigi” Cavallo, 87, husband of Rosina (Cannata) Cavallo, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at his home in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania.
Born in Rosolini, Sicily, he was the son of the late Salvatore Cavallo and Michela (Savarino) Cavallo.
Luigi was a very gifted man and jack of all trades. He enjoyed tinkering with gadgets, fixing and inventing things. He loved gardening and sitting outside on his porch. Luigi enjoyed traveling back home to Sicily, Italy, as often as he could to visit his family. He liked to watch soccer, as this was one of his favorite sports. Luigi was an old-fashioned Brooklyn Barber, one of the Best. He was loved by so many with such a large following. When he lived in Brooklyn, New York, he loved going to the beach with his family and on different outings in his spare time. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Surviving along with his wife Rosina of 60 years, is his daughter Rachele Bruno, wife of Vincent; daughter Caterina Fraschilla, wife of Joseph; grandchildren Samantha, Scott, husband of Jillian, Christianna, Francesca, and Santino; and great granddaughter April; step grandchildren Maria, wife of Anthony; Marisa; Joey, husband of Lisa; step great grandchildren Isabella, Christopher, Anthony, Angelo, Angeline, and Salvatore.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church (610 Pine St, Bally, PA 19503) with Fr. Richard James officiating. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 9:00-9:30AM at the church. Family and friends are invited to the committal service at Resurrection Cemetery at 12:30PM (361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309) following mass.
At the family’s request, in Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Centre for Padre Pio, Inc., (PO Box 206, Barto, PA 19504 or online at www.padrepio.org) in Girolamo’s name.
