William Daniel Herb, 92, of East Coventry, husband of the late Gleta T. (Moses) Herb, passed away Monday August 8, 2022 at the Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Hegins, he was the son of the late Daniel T. and Marie M. (Schwartz) Herb.
Bill loved his wife and his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard, and gardening. Bill served in the US Navy from 1950-1953 as an operator of boats up to 70 feet. After the military, he worked as a supervisor at Firestone. He then worked for Burns Security-Limerick Power Plant as a security guard. Bill retired from Cabot Performance Materials as a security guard.
Surviving are sons Daniel and Ricky Herb; daughter Lisa Herb; step-daughters Donna G. Yurick wife of Nicholas and Brenda Feairheller wife of Jay; grandchildren Zachary Yurick and Courtney Gursky; great grandchildren Zattu Feairheller and Ella Gursky; and his sister Sylvia M. Daub.
Along with his wife and parents, Bill was predeceased by his sisters Betty A. Maurer and Faye L. Eyrich, and his brother Dale H. Herb.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Boyertown. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
