Charles “Charlie” G. LaMastra, 91

Charles G. “Charlie” LaMastra, 91, husband of the late Virginia E. (Rotola) LaMastra, passed away with

family by his side on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Racalmuto, Sicily, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Rosa (Dinaro) LaMastra.

Charlie proudly served in the United States Army on the front lines during the Korean War. He took

pride in being a loving father and grandfather. Charlie was an avid walker. He was known as a true

gentleman, and as “Prince Charming” to the residents of the William Penn Villas in Limerick. Charles

enjoyed playing bocce ball and going out to lunch. He was an extremely generous man. Charlie enjoyed

sitting in his garage on warm days and talking to anyone that passed by. Being a firm believer in his

Catholic faith, Charlie was always in attendance at church on Saturday night.

Surviving are his son Carl A. LaMastra, husband of Becky; daughter Diane Buonpane, wife of Gerard;

brother Armando LaMastra, husband of Mary; grandchildren Alexandra LaMastra and Sophia Buonpane.

He is predeceased by his brother Alfonso LaMastra.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church

(256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473) with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. A viewing will also be held

on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 8:30-10:45AM at the church. A Burial will be held on Thursday,

August 25, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Calcutta Church (256 Swamp

Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473) in Charlie’s name.
