Albert C. Favinger Jr., 87, husband of the late Celestine (Sobkowiak) Favinger, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his home in Pottstown.
Born in East Vincent Township, he was the son of the late Albert C. Favinger Sr. and Helen (Urffer) Miller.
Albert proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was an avid gun collector and an unofficial gunsmith. Albert enjoyed target shooting, reloading, and repairing guns. He was also good at refurbishing furniture. Albert was a very hard worker that loved to take care of his family. He enjoyed reading gun magazines and mystery novels. Albert loved his Siamese cats and enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Celestine.
Surviving are his daughters Anne F. Clay, wife of Craig; daughter Mary F. Pegler, wife of Herbert R. Pegler Jr.; grandchildren Jenny Rose Clay, wife of George D. Barreca, and Tiffany Pegler, wife of Ryan Simmons.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). A visitation will also be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.
