Michael J. Boyle, 75

Michael J. Boyle, 75, husband of Elizabeth (Bubnis) Boyle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at his home in Boyertown.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael F. Boyle and Catherine (McDevitt) Boyle.

Mike was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served from January 1966 to January 1968. During his time with the Marines, Lance Corporal Boyle learned the Vietnamese language and was trained in demolitions.

Professionally, he was well respected as an expert in concrete construction and materials. He was an active member of the American Concrete Institute and organized national conferences for the organization. He was the Vice President of Valley Forge Laboratories and in retirement continued to do private consulting.

Michael enjoyed deep sea fishing. He would also breed fish over the years to supply local pet stores. Michael was a very faith filled man. He was a deacon for 16 years. In his later years, his life revolved around his ministry. He facilitated the Bereavement Group for widows and widowers and was also the spiritual director for the Legion of Mary.

Surviving along with his wife Elizabeth of 24 years, is his daughter Marie Pantalone, wife of Peter; step-children Rebecca Hennessey; Steven Koch, husband of Sonja; and Jessica Thomas, wife of James; sister Kathleen Daly, wife of Robert; sister Susan Clark, wife of Paul; 2 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 2 great step-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Margaret “Peggy” (Ulmer) Boyle and his son Michael R. Boyle.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11:00AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church (610 Pine St, Bally, PA 19503) with Fr. James officiating. A viewing will also be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 9:00-10:45AM at the church. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Michael’s name.
