Santiago Verdecia, 87, beloved husband of Idelfa (Mainegra) Verdecia, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in Oriente, Cuba, he was the son of the late Santiago and Josefa (Sanchez) Verdecia.
Santiago emigrated from Cuba to the United States in 1969 and proudly became a United States citizen. He owned his own construction company, “Verdecia Construction” for 40 years where he specialized in masonry work. He had deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. His love for his Family, Friends and Co-workers was limitless.
Surviving along with his wife Idelfa, are his children Lou Verdecia; and Maria Stelacio, wife of Christopher; and grandchildren Ava Stelacio and CJ Stelacio. He was 1 of 14 siblings.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church (256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473) with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 9:30-10:45AM at the church. Burial will be held privately by the family.
