Isabelle Florence Fisher, 88

Isabelle “Isie” (Miller) Fisher, 88, formerly of Gilbertsville, wife of John Gail of 65 years, passed away Saturday October 15, 2022 at her residence.

Born in Clarence, NY on July 1, 1934, she was one of 12 siblings and the daughter of the late Alvin and Emma (Roth) Miller.

Isie was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in New Berlinville. She enjoyed china painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and gardening. Isie loved traveling with her husband and friends, and spent 25 winters in Florida at their winter residence.

Surviving along with her husband are her three daughters Darlene Davis wife of William, Linda Wentz wife of Brian, and Cheryl Barr wife of Brian; and her grandchildren Kenneth O’Lone, Nicholas O’Lone, Rachael Wentz Freeman, Ruth Wentz, Alyssa Barr, and Emily Barr; and 4 great grandchildren. Isie was predeceased by her parents and four siblings, and survived by five brothers and two sisters.

A celebration of life service will be held Monday October 24, 2022 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 611 Swamp Creek Rd., New Berlinville, PA. Visitation will be held starting 10:00 am at the church with the service following at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Isabelle’s memory to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 611 Swamp Creek Rd., New Berlinville, PA 19505.

Gail and Isie were the first to welcome us to Florida and heartland. We traveled together to some great places and had many good times. Way too many great memories that we will always treasure but reassured that she is now in her heavenly home. Our condolences to Gail and the family.

Larry and I are so sorry for your loss. Isie and I were good friends. We painted together, sewed together and sang together. We could lean on each others prayers.. I will miss her greatly.
