Lizann and Family,

I’d like to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Matt. It doesn’t seem real. He was such an upbeat, funny, and most of all kind hearted individual who would give the shirt off his back to anybody who would’ve asked. He was an absolute pleasure to be around both personally and professionally. He will be deeply missed. May your family find the incredible amount of strength and time to be able to heal.

God Bless You, Matt. And God Bless The Family. RIP, my friend.

You always gave off positive energy to me and the people around you. I looked forward to the nights we worked together at Wawa and used to say to myself, "there needs to be more people like him who stay calm and spread calm to others". I found myself drawn to that energy around you because I wished I could be more like that. After transferring stores, you would randomly stop by as a customer and keep spreading that calming energy. You adopted a kitten from me years ago and the reaction you had when picking her up, I remember with a smile on my face. You were very happy. My heart goes out to you and your family and friends. I will never forget you. The memories I have of you will always be with me. Memories last forever. As long as we remember how much you have touched our lives, you will always be alive within us.

Matt was one of the most selfless, kindest, purest, beautiful souls I had the pleasure of knowing and being around many, many times. So many people were left speechless when hearing of this news, myself included. I hope it eases the pain of the family at least a tiny bit by knowing how loved Matt was, and by reading all the kind words describing him and his friendships with so many. Christine, Elizabeth, and the rest of the family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss!
