Lorraine H. (Houck) McAfee, 92, wife of William R. McAfee Sr., went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Honey Brook, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Irma (Cairns) Houck.
Surviving along with her husband Bill of 73 years, is her daughter Kathy McAfee, son Bill McAfee Jr., husband of Judy and daughter Wendy Cook, wife of Dale; sister Dona Kieffer, wife of James; grandchildren Brandon, Brooke, Britney, Bill III, Nathan, Jimmy, Brandy, Lindsey and Ryan; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter. She is predeceased by her 3 brothers Gerald, Ron and Ken and her 3 sisters Pauline, Miriam and Sandy.
Lorraine was a graduate of Warwick High School. She was very involved with East Nantmeal Christian Fellowship Church as a deaconess, was involved in several different groups at the church, sang in the choir, and also taught Sunday School and Bible School there. Lorraine & Bill lived in their home in Coventryville for 60 years where she loved to host family and friends. Holidays spent with family meant the world to her and her husband Bill and Lorraine was deeply devoted to her grandchildren. After Bill’s retirement, Lorraine and he loved taking bus trips and traveling together.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:00AM at East Nantmeal Christian Fellowship Church (900 Nantmeal Rd, Elverson, PA 19520) with Pastor David Pershall officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464) and again on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10:00-11:00AM at the church.
