Loretta V. Beach, 69, of Collegeville, passed on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Landing of Collegeville.

Loretta was born to the late Leroy W. Beach and Carrie M. Beach on June 10, 1953 in Philadelphia. She attended Our Lady of Rosary elementary school and later graduated from West Catholic Girls’ High School, where she played the trombone. Following high school, she graduated with a degree in mathematics from Villanova University. Loretta was employed by the Social Security Administration. After her retirement she reentered the work force and was employed by American Baptist Home Missionary (ABHM) where she was known for providing excellent customer service and praying for callers.

In 1997, Loretta’s father, who was caregiver to his wife of 51 years, was called home to be with the Lord. By the grace of God, Loretta assumed the responsibility of full-time caregiver with a loving devoted heart. In 2002 her mother passed away joining her father in the Lord’s kingdom. Loretta suffered a major stroke on July 26, 2021, leaving her incapacitated to live on her own. As a result, she has resided with her sister and brother in-law to ensure the quality of her care. Loretta enjoyed attending the Landing of Collegeville twice a week, where she made special friends, and was loved by residents and staff.

Loretta’s faith was especially important to her. She converted from Catholicism to the Baptist faith in 1985 and joined the First Baptist Church of Darby, PA under the pastorate of the late Reverend David D. Lee, Jr. She served as a Minister for many years at Siloam Baptist Church in Norristown where she led and participated in many ministries. She was always willing to assist whenever called upon. She was also heavily involved with Samaritan’s Purse, including her trips to Africa. She had artistic gifts and was a terrific cake decorator.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memory her sister Carolyn T. Madison, wife of Don; nephew Steven Madison, husband of Ashley; Uncle Robert Lee Wade; Aunts, Evetta Wade, Anna Wade, and great nephew Donaven James Madison, as well as a host of cousins, church family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10:00AM at Siloam Baptist Church (1329 Willow St, Norristown, PA 19401). A visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 9:00-10:00AM at the church. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Siloam Baptist Church (https://onrealm.org/siloambc/-/form/give/now) or to Samaritan’s Purse (https://www.samaritanspurse.org/) in Loretta’s name.
