Glen Robert Kulp, 59

Glen Robert Kulp, 59, dedicated and selfless husband, father, Pop-Pop, and friend, went home to the Lord on December 10, 2022. He was born in Allentown, PA on August 3rd, 1963, to the late Irvin and Naomi Kulp.

He graduated from Boyertown High School in 1981. Shortly after graduating, he met his wife of 38 years, Aleta Joy (Detweiler) Kulp.

Glen, loving the beach, ended up moving to Rehoboth Beach, DE where he raised his children. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved traveling with his wife, walks on the boardwalk, beach days with his children and grandchildren, and praising the Lord at worship concerts.

To know Glen was to love Glen. He knew how to light up a room with his infectious smile and laugh. He will truly be missed by many.

Glen is survived by his wife, Aleta; their children Kurt (Stephanie) Kulp, Jenna (Darren) Sweeney, Tara (William) Esquivel & Lisa Kulp; and nine grandchildren, Riley, Jaxon, Blaire, Carson, Beckham, Blake, Weston, Bella & Jamie.

After a long grueling fight with head and neck cancer, Glen is sitting by the feet of Jesus. Knowing that he is no longer suffering provides much peace for his family. His family wishes to extend a special thanks to all the family and friends who have endured this journey alongside him.

To honor Glen’s memory, we are holding a celebration of his life at Boyertown Mennonite Church, 275 Mill St., Boyertown, PA 19512 on Sunday December 18th, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:15 p.m. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his beautiful life. We ask attendees to wear Christmas attire as Christmas was his favorite holiday.

Add My Condolences

Dearest family, I am so sorry to hear of this loss. I just found out and knew nothing of his long battle but I too am glad he is at peace and rest. I worked with Glen for a few years in Dover, and knew none better than he. May you feel continually best that he was your and you were his. May God send you peace and joy even in this difficult time.

Aleta and family,

I was so very sorry to hear of your loss. While I did not know Glen personally, I feel like I knew him through all the stories from Rachel and those that knew him. What a wonderful man, the best example of a father, husband and coach. His legacy is one we should all remember and follow as "this is the way to live a life". When Joe O. and I coached with Glen, he was the cool and respectful one. A cohesive and ever team player. Our prayers go out to the family. May he rest with God. Ron & Josh Barkauskie

Mr. Kulp. You were such a nice dude. The way you treated Mrs. Kulp and you kids really showed me how a good husband and a wonderful father should be. Rest easy. Sorry I didn’t get to beat you in risk one more time.
