W. Richard Fisher, 93
W. Richard Fisher, 93, of Douglassville, formerly of Coventryville, husband of the late Ruth (Gerhart) Fisher, passed away Sunday December 18, 2022 at the Reading Hospital.
Born in Pottstown Landing, he was the son of the late John and Orpha (Nyce) Fisher.
Richard was a member of Coventryville UMC and Mt. Pickering Masonic Lodge. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Surviving are his children Karen Finkbiner wife of the late Ralph, William Fisher Jr. husband of Patricia Carey, Cathy Brown wife of Craig, and Connie Ewing wife of Dennis; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Robert L. Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife and parents, Richard was predeceased by his sisters Mellis Murray, Marion Porter, and Virginia McCalicher.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Coventryville United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Ridge Rd., Pottstown, PA 19465. Burial will follow at Coventryville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the church.
