Ronald V. Boettger, Sr., 87

Ronald V. Boettger, Sr., 87, of North Coventry, passed away Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Sanatoga Center.

Born in Spring City, he was the son of the late Justice and Elizabeth (Finkbiner) Boettger.

Ronald graduated from Spring City High School where he served as class president. He was a self employed butcher and meat processor, owning and operating Boettger’s Meats and Mini Markets. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. He fished many mountain streams in Sullivan, Potter, and Centre counties and the many lakes, ponds, and streams in Chester county. Ronald also enjoyed golfing and bowled for many years at Phoenix Lanes. In his younger years, he played Legion Baseball.

Surviving are his children Cindy Eisenhauer wife of Ike, Ron Boettger, Bryan Boettger husband of Karen, Jeff Boettger, and Beth Loomis wife of Scott; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and his brother Justus “Bud” Boettger.

Along with his parents, Ron was predeceased by his brothers Ed and Doug Boettger, sister Emily, and his longtime companion Peggy Cingle.

Services will be private.
