Paul Bennett Gilpin, 87, of Elverson, PA, passed away on January 5, 2023.
Paul was born April 7, 1935, in South Sterling, PA.
He served in the Army, where he was stationed in Korea. He attended Penn State University, majoring in accounting, and went on to become head of finance at CertainTeed, where he worked for more than 40 years.
A gentle, kind hearted man, Paul was known for his playful sense of humor and love of family. He enjoyed his model train collection, building model cars, playing pinochle, listening to music and travels with his late wife Susan.
In addition to his wife, Paul was predeceased by his son, Roger Gilpin, and sister, Alice Burzon.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Friez, granddaughter, Emily Friez, and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Gilpin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home &
Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
