Charles A. Farrow, 81

Charles A. Farrow, 81, of Frederick, husband of the late Margaret A. (O’Brien) Farrow, passed away Friday January 13, 2023 at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Anne Elizabeth (Lynch) Farrow.

Charles was a member of St. Philip Neri R.C. Church in Pennsburg, a lifetime member of Sassamansville Fire Co., and a 60+ years member of the IBEW Local 98 of Philadelphia. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, telling stories and singing. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, trips to the Jersey Shore, and Sullivan County.

Surviving are his children Charles A. Farrow III h/o Marsha, Christopher I Farrow, Michael J. Farrow h/o Christina, Ann Marie Magyar w/o Jeffrey, and Virgil P. Farrow h/o Kim; sisters Anne Falco w/o Joe, Mary Barnes w/o Francis; brothers Tom, Jim, Pat, and Fran Farrow; grandchildren Melissa, Zachary, Michael, Shannon, Kelly, Chuck, Sophia, and John; 3 great granddaughters; and companion of 10 years Fran Mathei.

Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother John Farrow and sister Theresa Stango.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073, with Fr. Anthony officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the church. Burial will be held privately at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Farrow family’s name to the U of Penn- ACC, 3535 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19104.

My condolences to the Farrow family and Annie. Sorry for your loss, Pop Farrow was a great person and father. I will forever have memories of him, and my bourbon buddy that was the kindest, funny man. RIP Charles, you will be missed.
