Linda K. Breimhurst, 72

Linda K. (Cassel) Breimhurst passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, January 24th,
2023 at the age of 72. She passed peacefully in the home she shared with her husband, Donald
L. Breimhurst, and was surrounded with love. Born August 6th, 1950 in Mechanicsburg, PA,
Linda was the daughter of the late Paul L. and Arlene E. Cassel. She grew up in Marysville, PA,
where she graduated from Susquenita High School in 1968.

Linda studied at Penn State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in
consumer-related services. It was there that she met her future husband Donald, whom she
later married in 1973. Linda and Don moved to Texas, and then to Colorado where she gave
birth to their first son, Erich R. Breimhurst. After moving back to Pennsylvania, she gave birth to
their second son, Christopher D. Breimhurst, and then a daughter, Leigh A. (Breimhurst)
Stauffer.

Linda was a stay-at-home mom until she began working at Patriot Bank as a mortgage
underwriter. From there she moved to Vanguard, where she was an accounts payable associate
until her retirement in 2016. Outside of work, Linda was involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a den mother, and later she became a Girl Scout leader. Her passions were vast, but she especially enjoyed reading, politics, music, and learning more about ancestry and history. Later in life, Linda became a grandmother, and was lovingly known as “Nana” to Mirabel W. and Leo W. Breimhurst, and Alexander D. Stauffer. Linda loved her grandchildren and they brought so much joy to her life.

Besides her husband Don, Linda is survived by her brother, Timothy P. Cassel, her son
Erich (wife Jennifer Lee), son Christopher (wife Dana Robertson), daughter Leigh (husband
Jason Stauffer), and her three beloved grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Linda was
preceded in death by her older brother, Barry L. Cassel.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Catagnus Funeral Home at 711 N. Franklin
Street in Pottstown, PA on Saturday, January 28th. Viewing and visitation start at 10:00 AM and
