Kevin M. Gray, 59

Kevin M. Gray, 59, of Boyertown, formerly of Kittanning, husband of Beth (Dittrich) Gray, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Neptune, NJ, he was the son of the late Linward and Patricia (Bruce) Gray. Kevin was a proud husband of his wife Beth for over 36 years and was looking forward to celebrating year 37 this year. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and was not afraid to let anyone who would listen know about it. Speaking of bragging, he was always quick to brag about his kid's accomplishments and glowed in excitement when talking about them. A devoted family man, he took advantage of every opportunity he could to go to as many of his kid's sporting events as possible, even if that was at the expense of pulling one kid out of school to see the other play. He enjoyed his career as a lineman for MetEd and was a longtime member of Friendship Hook & Ladder in Boyertown. Kevin enjoyed playing softball, and even though it was an over thirty league, he was lucky enough to play well into his fifties with his friends on Shadow Row. He was instantly recognizable driving through town in "Old Blue," his 1989 Ford F-150 as if the Pittsburgh Steelers license plate on the front wasn't obvious enough.

Surviving along with his wife Beth is his son Brett Gray; daughter Sarah Braceland fiancée of Keith Willard; brother Joe Gray, husband of Sheila; sisters Maryanne Oas; wife of Mike and Ursula Mageary; niece Susannah Gray Kendig; wife of Geoffrey; and nephew Tyler Braceland. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, at 12:30 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525.

Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 AM-12:15 PM at the funeral home. The family asks everyone attending to dress casual as if you were going to meet him for a drink, as Kevin would want!

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kevin's name to the Brandon S. Mason/Jason M. Benyo Baseball Memorial Scholarship Fund. Please make checks payable to Boyertown American Legion Baseball at PO Box 224, Boyertown, PA 19512.
