Michael A. Long, 69, longtime companion of Nancy Lownes, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home in Norristown.
Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Jacob and Jessie (Davis) Long.
Michael loved being outside and being in the sun. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf. Michael loved going to Disney World. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, Penn State Football fan, and Villanova Basketball fan.
Surviving along with his companion Nancy, is his sister Barbara Long; brother Richard Long; and all of his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Eddie Long.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468) with Rev. Ken Webster officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at a later date by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association ( 1617 John F Kennedy Blvd # 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103) in Michael’s name.
