Rita M. Lacy, 71

Rita M. (Augustine) Lacy, age 71, beloved wife of Milton R. Lacy, Jr., of Limerick, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Columbia Augustine. She married Milton in 1975 and he was the love of her life. Rita was blessed in finding such a wonderful husband. Milt was a gentle and kind husband and they loved each other so much. They enjoyed traveling the United States and spending time with loved ones.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sister, MaryAnn Pizzico, wife of William and Joann Mattaliano, wife of Richard. She was a loving aunt to Gina and Michael Mattaliano and great-aunt to Richard and June Mattaliano. Gina and Michael were two of the most important people in Rita’s life and brought her love and pride for the way they lived their lives. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and the addition of her great-nephew Richie and great-niece June brought Rita a new and joyful perspective on life.

Her sister Joann and brother-in-law Richard were constant companions. They spent many years taking trips together and just being a huge part of her life and she loved them dearly.

Rita was at 1969 graduate of Archbishop Kennedy High School in Conshohocken. She worked for Quaker Chemical and then for SEI and Vanguard for many years. Rita was an avid reader, who also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, riding her bicycle and taking walks with Milt.

She was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church (256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473) with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken. A viewing will also be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 9:30-10:45AM at the church.
