Susan McGinn, 63

Susan (Gerner) McGinn, 63, of Schwenksville, wife to John “Rick” McGinn, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, she was one of six siblings, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sheila (Domeracki) Gerner. Along with her parents, Susan was predeceased by her brother John Gerner and sister Kathy Ristine.

Susan enjoyed many travels with Rick & her family to the shore, mountains & beyond with particular love for the beaches of Cape May. She loved showing off her innate skill of making babies smile, most of all, her grandchildren who brought so much joy to their “SuSu.” She was an avid fan and passionately cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles. She was the loving cheerleader for her family and friends throughout her life and forever we are grateful to Susan who inspired us all!

Surviving along with her husband are Susan’s children, Joseph Walsh, Kelly Ferreri, Jason McGinn husband of Julie, and Erin Schaefer; grandchildren Anthony, Alex, Emilee, Jacob, Aubrey, Ava, Jack, and Isabella. She is additionally survived by brother Jim Gerner, husband of Lisa; sisters Peggy Tucker, wife of John and Diane Boyer, wife of John as well as sister-in-law Robin McGinn and brothers-in-law Hooper Ristine, Scott Shull, and Jeff McGinn, husband of Diane. She is remembered lovingly by her many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

We are broken hearted for your loss. Sue was so wonderful to be around. Her wit and laughter, was truly infectious and her smile just made you be happy, too. Her beauty was multifaceted and radiating . We will miss you awfully Sue. You’ve touched sooo many hearts!

Please accept my Deepest Sympathy, I loved Susan and enjoyed being with her when we played Cards and talked about the Eagles and she had her nails painted Green for them, will truly miss her. Watching the Eagles in Heaven this year.
