Warren J. Beidler, 87

Warren J. “Jim/Yogi” Beidler, 87, of North Coventry, husband of Gloria J. (Templin) Beidler, passed away Saturday February 11, 2023 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Rose M. (Capaldo) Beidler.

Jim served in the US Air Force from 1955-1958. He worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. from 1959-1980 as a tire builder and fork truck driver. He then worked in maintenance for Owen J. Roberts Middle School and retired in 2000. Jim was active at the Goodwill Fire Company in Pottstown from 1959-1974. He also coached Nor-Chester Little League Baseball, Basketball, and Football. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing with his boys and going to the casinos with his brother Bill.

Surviving along with his wife are his three sons Gregory J. Beidler husband of Christy of Sellersville, James M. Beidler husband of Sandy of Oley, and John M. Beidler husband of Heather of Audubon; eight grandchildren Samantha Alivizatos, Abigale Beidler, Emma Beidler, Lexi Beidler, Madison Beidler, Amanda Beidler, Avery Beidler, and Evan Beidler.

Along with his parents, Jim was predeceased by four brothers William H. “Bill” Beidler, Ronald H. Beidler, Lorrin K. “Washer” Beidler, and Clarence L. Beidler; and one sister Catherine L. “Becky” Beidler.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 17, 2023 at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Visitation will be held Friday, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the services at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.

My deepest and sincere condolences. My memory of Jim is a fun person. Super nice and spoke of his children all the time. I knew he was a loving husband and father. One of the Best around.
