Raj Dev Kharbanda age 85, passed away peacefully following multiple health complications on February 26, 2023 at the Phoenixville hospital in Pennsylvania.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Santosh (-2017).
Raj Dev Kharbanda hailed from Sialkot, India (present day Pakistan) and was born to Dr. Munshi Ram Kharbanda and Veera Devi. He was a brother to nine other siblings.
He started his younger years in Delhi, India, and completed his bachelors in Library sciences. He worked as an assistant librarian in the British Council library before retiring in 1996. His family knew him as a kind, well dressed, talented and educated man. He was known for his entertaining stories, which he loved to repeat often, and his many artistic talents. He loved to share stories from his journeys around the world, especially his 18 days ship journey to London, and his drawings and paintings were a cherished possestion to his family and friends. He quickly became the life of any party with his beautiful poems and singing.
Bauji was a proud father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He is survived by his two sons and two daughters, Anil Kharbanda and his wife Mridu, Navin Kharbanda and his wife Sangeeta, Madhu Kapoor and her husband Sunil, and Reena Jaiswal and her husband Rajiv; grandchildren, Upasana, Pooja, Karthik, Sargam, Vishesh, Richa, Isha, Taniya, and Sagar, and four great-grandchildren.
