Wayne L. Urner, 87, of Gilbertsville, husband of Geri (Hafer) Urner of 38 years, passed away Monday March 20, 2023 at Manatawny Manor.
Born in Spring City, he was the son of the late Herman and Florence (Piersol) Urner.
Wayne was formerly an active member at Bethel UMC in Spring City. He enjoyed bowling and was a fan of Philadelphia sports teams. Wayne played softball and was involved as a scout leader for his children. He worked at Superior Tube for 45 years as a head buyer and after retiring, he worked as a greeter at Walmart in Pottstown for 12 years. Wayne was a people person and enjoyed talking to anyone he came across.
Surviving along with his wife are his children Lee Urner husband of Catherine, Donna Brunner, and Tina Harp wife of Jim; step-son Lin Gehris; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday March 25, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:15 AM at the funeral home.
