Randy Egolf, 70

Randy Egolf, affectionately known as “Pops”, 70, of Boyertown, husband of Marion (Baus) Imbody, passed away Sunday March 19, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Gerald Edwin and Leatrice Mae (Dames) Egolf.

Randy worked with and eventually took over the family landscaping business from his father. He was an excellent drummer in the band Moon Ship. Randy also worked at the Shell gas station in Gilbertsville and was an accomplished horticulturist, winning many ribbons at the Philadelphia Flower Show. He loved nature and was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. Randy was a people person, had a great sense of humor, and always had a smile and a joke for everyone.

Surviving along with his wife is his son Cody Egolf of Norristown; step-children Elaine Gehris wife of Jim of Barto, William Imbody husband of Debra of Topton, and Jaime Jones of Boyertown; 6 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great grandchildren; brothers Jerry Egolf husband of Sandra of NC and Bruce Egolf husband of Donna of DE; 3 nephews; 1 niece; 4 great nephews; and 1 great niece.

Along with his parents, Randy was predeceased by his daughter Melissa Egolf and one step-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Monday March 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Monday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

Flowers are welcome as Randy enjoyed making floral arrangements and wreaths for others.

Just learned of Randy's passing. So sorry Marion for your loss. We'll always remember him as being there to help in his younger days when health wasn't an issue. RIP Randy and thanks for being a great neighbor.
