Charles "Chuck" Sithens, 80

Charles “Chuck” George Sithens (80) passed away peacefully at his residence on March 22, 2023.

Chuck was born the middle son of three children to Charles and Grace Sithens in Norristown, PA on August 25, 1942. He grew up in Conshohocken, PA and graduated from Conshohocken High School. He went on to complete one semester of college at the University of Chattanooga. He then enlisted in the Army Reserves. He worked as a flooring installer for many years and opened his own business, Limerick Floors. He was a dedicated businessman and continued to help run his company until the age of 77.

Chuck held many titles including husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, friend, athlete, business owner, and animal lover. He was married to his wife Connie for 55 years. They went on to have 3 children, Debra, Donna, and Darren and raised their family in Perkiomenville, PA. Connie and Chuck recently moved to Richmond, VA and were living with their son. Chuck was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could. He enjoyed taking them to amusement and water parks, especially at the Wildwood Board Walk, where he would never miss the opportunity to get a roast beef sandwich from Snow White. He took every chance available to tell his kids how much he loved them and how proud he was of each of them.

Chuck was also an incredible athlete. He received a full scholarship to play football at the University of Chattanooga. Following his time in college, he had the opportunity to attend spring training camp with the St. Louis Cardinals. After his own baseball career, he was an umpire for several years. As an adult he also excelled at bowling and golf.

Chuck was fun loving and lighthearted. There is no one who has ever met him that could say he didn’t tell them a joke. It made him so happy to make others laugh and smile. He also loved his pets as much as he did people. His shepherds were as spoiled as they come.

He is preceded by his mother Grace, his father Charles, his brother Ralph, and granddaughter Kimberly Conrad. He is survived by his wife Constance (Rosenberger), his daughter Debra Conrad (Heath Brown), his daughter Donna Norton (Eric), his son Darren Sithens (Serena), grandsons Hayden & Dylan Brown, Dylan Sithens, his sister Carol widow of Shelva Smith, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and his business partner Bill Wacker.

His memorial service will be held at St. Andrew United Methodist Church (611 Swamp Creek Rd. Bechtelsville, PA 19505) on April 29th, with a gathering from 10AM – 11AM and the service starting at 11:00AM. A reception will be held at this location immediately following the burial. All friends and family are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to:

Add My Condolences

I was saddened to see that Chuck has passed on. Chuck was an usher in our wedding party in 1970. I worked for him and Rocky in Montgomeryville and on Swedes Rd. I remember when Chuck and Connie bought the house on Rt. 73 in Boyertown, I remember Chuck wrestling with his two German Shepherds on the floor, the dogs so absolutely delighted. Later on my late husband and I would watch ball games in Warrington that Chuck umped. Chuck was one of the most decent, honest and straightforward people I have ever met. Connie, I am so sorry for your loss, and wish you and your family peace.

Chuck was like a father to me. I spent so much time over at the Sithens' house while growing up, they were my second family. Chuck would always be laughing, telling jokes, driving us kids to the pool, movies, miniature golf you name it. He was such an awesome guy and will be missed!
