David M. Kane, 64

David M. Kane, 64, husband of Adrienne (Hoefer) Kane, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late John and Marie (Williamson) Kane.

Dave worked at Superfresh, formerly known as A&P, for over 40 years. Dave loved to hunt and fish as a young man. He enjoyed golfing with his son, John and many other friends. In Dave's free time over the years, he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden which led to his love for making his famous pickles. His love did not end at vegetables, he also had a passion for growing the most beautiful flowers including dahlias and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feed in the backyard. Having a handyman skill set, Dave could fix just about anything. He had a big sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and was always ready with a good joke. Dave thought the world of his wife and loved his children very much, as well as his dog Cooper.

Surviving along with his wife Adrienne of 37 years, is his son John Kane; daughter Amanda Kane; brothers Rick Kane, husband of Susan, and Brian Kane; sisters Patsy Lipko, wife of Joe, and Terry Lengel, wife of Tom; and was loved by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother John Kane and his sister Sue Fanella, wife of the late Al.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525). A time of sharing memories of Dave will also be held following visitation at 12:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Dave’s name.

When you move into a new home the best thing you can hope for is good neighbors and we have been blessed with Dave and Adrienne. Dave was a generous and good hearted man, my wife Leah and I were very fortunate to have him as a neighbor and friend. He welcomed us to our new home years ago with the most beautiful dahlia bouquet we have ever seen. He was always friendly and kind with our family, when he saw my son Reese hitting golf balls in the back yard he donated him some of his old clubs which to this day are some of his favorites. Over the years we enjoyed his homemade mustard and pepper relish that he shared with us generously. Our thoughts and prayers are with Adrienne, John and Amanda. Rest In Peace Dave we will always remember our best neighbor ever.

My deepest sympathies to the Kane family.
Whenever I babysat the two boys next door, "Mr. Dave" would call me over so I could pick a bouquet of his beautiful flowers to brighten my home.
May the love of family and friends help you through your loss.

As a handyman he said it all can be fixed with duct tape and WD40. A more recent hobby was crashing drones into the lake or his backyard
