Margaret L. (Saile) Claus, 89, of Barto, wife of the late Jack A. Claus, passed away Saturday April 1, 2023 at Woodbridge Place in Phoenixville.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Anthony and Sophia (Wimmer) Saile.
Margaret worked for the former Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Pioneers Club. She also owned and operated Claus’ Bakery with her husband Jack in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia for 31 years. Margaret was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret and her husband Jack retired to Tamarac, FL , where they lived for 25years.
Surviving are her children Jacqueline Sobotka, Margaret Ulmer wife of Frank, and Albert Claus husband of Gretchen; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Along with her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother John Saile; and sisters Christina Beck and Helen Saile-Sadlowski.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, PA 19503. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church.
