Frank J. Zagorski, 97

Frank J. Zagorski, 97, of Douglassville, husband of the late Marie H. (Kasopsky) Zagorski, passed away Saturday May 13, 2023 at Keystone Villa.

Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Podzielny) Zagorski.

Frank served in the US Army. His first job was working for Lee Carpet in Bridgeport and later retired from Honeywell where he made a career as a carpenter. He loved going to Grandview Speedway, swimming at the YMCA, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Frank was a .300 bowler and loved dancing. He was quite the ladies man. He loved people and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frank often joked that the true reason behind his longevity was that he ate Wheaties and bananas every day.

Surviving are is his daughter Estelle “Cissy” Hamel wife of Robert; son Leon Zagorski; 7 grandchildren Dana Moyer, Jason Moyer, Michael Zagorski, Matthew Zagorski, Amber Medlin, and Lori Jordan Lewis; 9 great grandchildren Tyler Moyer, Kaden Moyer, Wyatt Zagorski, Henry Zagorski, Hunter Zagorski, Haydyn Zagorski, Lance Jordan, Gloria Medlin, and Dax Medlin.

Along with his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by his son Francis Zagorski; granddaughter Nadine Gill; sisters Marion Duffy and Florence Valerio; and brother Steve Zagorski.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 20, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 595 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00-11:45 AM at the funeral home.

How do you fit a lifelong friendship into a box of words? "Mr. Z" as you were known by all of us who grew up on Twp. Line & Graterford Road, under your watch, I love you. Grandpa, Frank! You will be truly be missed by all. Though it was only through your long relationship with my mommom, I always considered you a grandfather to us. Thank you for cheering us on at our sporting events and taking us bowling. Love and miss you!

“Frankie Boy” was the long time boyfriend of my mom and the only Grandfather my sons ever knew. A huge part of our family for many many years. He will truly be missed!
