Walter “Jake” L. Metz Jr., 79, husband of the late Bonnie (Hoehler) Metz, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Walter L. Metz Sr. and Lillian (Gordon) Metz.
Jake loved to go camping. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Jake was a member of Friends of the Forgotten; member of the Lulu Temple; 32nd degree Mason; and a member of the Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman’s Club.
Surviving is his son Jim Metz, husband of Jill; daughter Jeanette Metz-Nadwodny, wife of Raymond Nadwodny; sister Ruth Burns; grandchildren Christopher, Rachael, and Nelson; and various nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Glenn Metz.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
