Marilyn M. Manning, 89

Marilyn M. (Miner) Manning, 89, wife of the late George W. Manning Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Columbia Cottage in Collegeville.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Winston Miner and Violet Pauline (Dunbar) Miner.

George and Marilyn lived many years in Langhorne and then moved to New Hanover Township in their retirement years.

Marilyn enjoyed planning family events and hosting family and friends. She liked crafts, going to yard sales, and collecting knickknacks like turtles. In her spare time, Marilyn enjoyed birdwatching and was a wonderful cook.

Surviving is her son George W. Manning Jr., husband of Paula; daughter Jill Laise, wife of David; son David Manning, husband of Michelle; grandchildren Laura Ward, wife of Rusty Ward, Michael Laise, Ryan Laise, Samantha Manning, Joseph Manning, Cassandra Manning, and Elizabeth Manning; and great granddaughter Brooke Laise. She is predeceased by her brother Joel Miner.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (595 W. Main St, Trappe, PA 19426) with Pastor Donald Kerns officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. A viewing will also be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society (https://www.audubon.org/) in Marilyn’s name.
