Raymond Joseph Dahdah

On July 29, one month shy of his 96th birthday, our family lost our wonderful father, Raymond Joseph Dahdah. He was a loving, witty, charismatic, well-spoken, intelligent man. He gave endlessly of himself to our mom—his wife of 70 years, and to his children and grandchildren, He was born on August 28, 1927, one of ten siblings raised in South Philadelphia. A Forward Observer in the Army, he served in the Korean War. He was strong, tough, and always faithful to God and to my family.

He is survived by his wife, Diane, his children John P. (Carol) Dahdah and Julia Ann (Scott) Strong, and grandchildren John R. Dahdah, Gabriella Vasile, and Alexander Vasile. We miss and love him more than words can express, but we celebrate his life and are so thankful for all that he left behind, instilled in us.

Our family came to know Mr. Dahdah through son John the podiatrist. Then our parents moved to Frederick retirement community and met Ray and Diane. What a social couple! Our sympathies. The Schafer family.

To the family of Ray,

I am Joey Salerno's sister in law (Paula's sister), Tina Marie. I had the pleasure of meeting your day on a few occasions, but it has been a while. I do always remember him with a smile on his face. Please know you are in my prayers and may your wonderful father rest in peace. God Bless.
