Alma S. Hilbert, 100

Alma S. (Breidigam) Hilbert passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday evening August 26th. She celebrated her 100th birthday on May 21, 2023 with her family, friends, and neighbors.

Alma was born May 21, 1923 to Annie (Cronrath) Breidigam and Solon Breidigam of Dryville Pa.

She is survived with two sons Larry Hilbert, his wife Louise and their three children
Laura (Trice), her husband Marc, Luther and Lewis and a great-granddaughter Stella.
Bob Hilbert and his wife Anne and their daughter Amy (Landis), her husband Dave and a great-grandson Gavin, and several nieces and nephews.

Alma was predeceased by her husband Howard J, two sisters Lena, Erma (Heffner), two brothers Earl and Lee.

Alma was married to Howard Hilbert in 1944 and lived in New Jerusalem, Pa, then later moved to Boyertown in 1960. Alma worked at Judson A Smith company until her retirement. Alma and Howard enjoyed spending time together and going camping on the weekends. Alma enjoyed baking especially Christmas cookies, she also enjoyed painting beautiful landscapes that she proudly displayed in her home along with many ceramic pieces she painted, she also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. After the passing of her husband Howard, Alma continued to work as well as volunteer for her church and other local organizations. Alma loved to spend time with her family and also cherished her good friends as they would do things together.

Funeral Services will be held Friday September 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. Visitation will be held Thursday August 31 from 6:00-7:30 PM and Friday September 1 from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

Our deepest sympathy to Bob, Anne and family. Alma was such a sweet lady. Always smiling and always something nice to say. What a well lived life she lived! She will be missed.
