Stanley J. Weglos, Jr., 63

Stanley J. Weglos, Jr., 63, of Gilbertsville, husband of Karen M. (Kovach) Weglos, passed away Sunday September 10, 2023 at the Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Stanley J. Sr. and Eleanor (Beitler) Weglos.

Stan’s life was his daughter Alyssa. Stan was a member of Golden Oaks Golf club where he was an avid golfer. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Stan enjoyed taking summer vacations with his family to Dewey Beach, DE. During Stan’s 41 yrs at the Limerick power plant he held various positions in the Limerick Supply Organization. He retired in 2022 as Limerick Site supply Chain Manager.

Surviving along with his wife is his daughter Alyssa Weglos; sister-in-law Cathy Weglos; niece Maggie Weglos; nephew Zach Weglos; sister-in-law Susan Engle wife of Brian and their children Haley and Brandon; and brother-in-law Keith Kovach husband of Lisa and their children Bryce and Chase.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

Stan’s daughter attends Bon Homie Adult Day Center where he volunteered and donated for many years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bon Homie Better Days Foundation, 470 N. Lewis Rd., Limerick, PA 19468.

So sorry to hear of Stan's passing. I worked at Limerick for 37 years and had many dealings with Stan along with just friendly conversations. He was always a big help when you needed him always positive. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless.

I have known Stan for many years and share this loss with all who were close to him. I worked directly with Stan and he was very dedicated to his job. He was a great husband, father and friend. We have so many great memories. Our condolences to Karen, Alyssa and all of Stan's family.

I was a supplier and worked with Stan for over 30 years. He was a great guy to work with and was always engaging and could make tough situations at work less stressful with his humor and smile.

I worked with Stan for many years at Exelon, although at different locations, I always looked forward to my visits to Limerick station to spend time with Stan, certainly his knowledge of the plant and his job but more important, someone I called a trusted friend.
