Virginia M. Etriss, 86

Virginia M. (Thomas) Etriss, 86, of Chester Springs, formerly of Brookhaven, wife of the late John J. Etriss, Jr., passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Paoli Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Justin Joseph and Edna May (Cleary) Thomas.

Virginia was a graduate of West Catholic. She was a breast cancer survivor, a devout Catholic, and member of St. Joseph Parish in Spring City. Virginia was a selfless caretaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State Football. She loved caring for our dogs and alpacas, but spending time with her great granddaughter gave her the greatest happiness.

Surviving is her daughter Diane Kramer wife of Kevin Sr.; grandson Alexander Farren husband of Adriana; great granddaughter Hannah Farren; and brother Leonard Fulton. She is also survived by extended family members and her close friends, whom she felt truly fortunate to have in her life.

Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three of her brothers James, Robert, and Jess Thomas.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday October 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Rd., Spring City, PA 19475. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Rd., Spring City, PA 19475.
