Joanne Eleanor Taylor, 64

Our beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend Joanne Eleanor Taylor passed away October 2, 2023. She was 64 years old.

Joanne was born April 28, 1959 to Joan and Marshall Barkman. She grew up in Phoenixville, PA and graduated from St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, PA. On September 6, 1986, Joanne married Greg Taylor, who would remain her affectionate and caring partner and husband. While raising and providing a loving home for her three sons, Joanne also had a successful career as a home childcare provider and administrative assistant. Many friends and family members have happy memories sitting in her kitchen chair while she cut and styled their hair. She had a passion for music, the Philadelphia Eagles, and, above all, spending time with her family. A talented cook, Joanne was fond of saying that Greg “married me for my meatballs.” She had an impeccable, expansive memory, capable of recalling anniversaries, birthdays, and any Pennsylvania zip code. Everyone who knew Joanne also will remember her genuine, kind heart and sparkling smile.

Joanne’s memory will be cherished by her devoted husband Greg, her three sons Gregory (Kate), Steven, and Jeffrey (Darby), her three grandsons Henry, Archer, and Owen, as well as her loving sisters and brothers Anita (Jack), Mary Jane (Carl), Marshall (Gretchen), George (Linda), Evelyn (Tom), and Kevin (Nicole) and many nieces, nephews, her large extended family, and dear friends.

A celebration of Joanne’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 610 Pine St, Bally, PA 19503. Joanne’s family invites any and all who loved her to visit with them at the church starting at 9:30 AM. After the mass, Joanne will be interred at Fairview Cemetery, located at 317 W Philadelphia Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512.

I was so blessed to have Joanne as my sister-in-law. The beautiful obituary send it best. Her contagious beautiful smile, as well as those incredible meatballs are what I think of what I think of her. In addition, she was just a kind beautiful person who I love so much. I love how honest and caring she was to all. I also love that when Ray said something odd she would just smile and say... that is a Taylor. Lol. You will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace.

I only met Joanne a few times, but know she was a beautiful soul who was dearly loved by all who knew her.
My daughter,Jess, always spoke very highly of her and Greg and sees them as her in-laws. Unfortunately we never got to all have that picnic together that we talked about. My deepest sympathies to all of her family and friends.
