Warren A. Albitz, 83, of Gilbertsville, husband of Joan S. (Gross) Albitz, passed away Thursday October 5, 2023 at the Pottstown Hospital.
Born in East Greenville, he was the son of the late Paul and Edna (Beitler) Albitz.
Warren worked for Boyertown Casket Co. for 31 years. He then worked for the Boyertown School District as a custodian. He was a life member of the Gilbertsville and Sassamansville Fire Companies. As a life-long member of Calvary U.C.C., Warren actively participated in many Church ministries, such as fundraising and Church consistory. Warren also enjoyed travelling throughout the Boyertown area with Joan, delivering Meals on Wheels for many years.
Surviving along with his wife are his daughters Christine Gabel (Douglas) and Cynthia Brown (Joe); sons Jeffrey Albitz (Marcia) and Thomas Albitz (Becky); grandchildren Marissa Caccavale (Frank), Jason Gabel, Rachel Sharpe (Ben), Joseph Brown (Kristen), Kay Albitz, and Lucas Albitz; great-grandchildren Jocelyn and Cameron Brown and Elodie Sharpe; sisters Vivian Henry and Verna Mauer; and brother Donald Albitz.
Along with his parents, Warren was predeceased by his sisters Marie Derr and Oella Ruff.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Barto, PA 19504. Burial will follow at Niantic Cemetery, Barto. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the church.
