Dorothy Elizabeth (Eckenrode) Luft passed away peacefully at her home in Royersford on Thursday, October 5th.
Born in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Estella (Briel) Eckenrode.
During her 92 years of life, she worked as a nurse for 55 years, was an active member with the Ringing Hills Chorus and choir member for both St. Peters and Agustis Lutheran Churches. She loved to knit, work in her garden and do crossword puzzles and enjoyed volunteering at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Surviving are her children Leesa Shunk, Brad Luft and his wife Bernie, and Anita Luft; grandchildren James Shunk and his wife Jennifer, Joshua Shunk and his wife Rebecca, Adrienne Mullen and her husband Matthew; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.
Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother and 2 sisters, her Son-In-Law Alan Shunk and her granddaughter Abigale Luft.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday October 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Augustus Lutheran Church, 717 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church.
