Raymond Paul Hibbs, 60

Raymond Paul Hibbs, 60, of Sanatoga, PA passed away suddenly on October 6, 2023.

He was born February 18,1963, in Abington, PA to Roland and Joan Hibbs.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa M. Hibbs (Powell), his daughter Jaclyn Harding (Daniel), his sons Raymond Jr., Jared (Samantha), and Tyler, and his brother Roland Jr.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Elaine and Janet. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and his beloved grandkids Maximus, Rowan, Elowen, Jack and Natalie.

Raymond never met a dog, a beach, or a fishing joke he didn't like. When people pass, you often hear how much they lit up a room. Ray stood quietly by, but drew people in with his sheer kindness, honesty, and genuine personality. Dealing with personal demons and health issues never made him any less loved by anyone who knew him. He was the fun uncle and dad who taught his kids games in the yard and invited all the neighborhood kids over. When he wasn't with his family, you could always find him doing what he loved the most -- fishing. He was happiest out on the water, and truly believed in enjoying life and the people he loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 13. Visitation will be from 9:30-11am with a service to follow at Catagnus Funeral Home at 711 N Franklin St, Pottstown PA 19464.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Montgomery County SPCA.

God bless the Hibbs family and comfort your hearts. You are in our prayers. We always appreciated Ray's upbeat personality and smile and encouraging words. And what a tremendous family he had -- a wonderful wife, and his awesome children who excelled at everything they tried - they each had his best traits - now his heritage to carry on. We thank God for the hope of Christ's return that gives us great comfort. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

This is so shocking to many of us to hear of Ray's passing. We knew Ray for almost 40 years, he married my best friend! We moved away & lost touch for a while & picked right back up as if time stood still. They would visit us on the way to Florida & we would have so many laughs! We will miss his contagious laugh & bright smile. Rest in peace Ray, you have touched our hearts & we will miss you!!!

We had just met after he had his hips done. Then Covid hit and me him and Lisa spent almost every day together. We built a great relationship and we were always there to help each other out. I’ll never forget our times together and will always consider him one of my best friends. My heart and prayers go out to Lisa and his family. God rest his soul.????
