Thomas J. Lane, 81

Thomas J. Lane, 81, of Lower Pottsgrove (formerly of Narberth, Stafford, Berwyn, Schwenksville), husband of the late Francine Ann (Totaro) Lane, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late Ira W. Lane Jr. and Mary Eunice (Daly) Lane.

Tom grew up with his parents and sister in Narberth where he eventually served with Narberth Fire Company. He attended Monsignor Bonner High School, Saint Francis University (Physics), Drexel University (Engineering), and Villanova University for his Masters. He married his high school sweetheart in 1966, and together they celebrated almost 52 wedding anniversaries. He became a civil engineer, and in 1971 incorporated his own commercial construction company, LML Corporation. In his later years, he continued to consult on a myriad of commercial and residential projects, as well as acting as advisor and mentor to those just starting out. Tom was a devout Catholic, and contributed his many talents to the church for the duration of his life, through both personal service and professional partnerships. He was a perpetual student. Loved to learn. Loved to laugh and play pranks and make others laugh. He cherished his family, above all, and made sure they were loved, supported, and encouraged.

Surviving are his children Jim (Lisa), Tom (Robin), Bob (Tarra), Kim (Eileen), and Michele (Brian); and grandchildren Daniel, Matthew, Emily, Madelyne, Lauryne, Jordan, and Allison.

Along with his wife and parents, Thomas was predeceased by his sister Kathy Campbell.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday, November 3rd from 6:30-8:30 PM and Saturday, November 4th from 9:00-10:45 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas’ memory to ACPMP Research Foundation. https://acpmp.org/get-involved/donate/

Lane Family, your were blessed to have Tom in your family. I met Tom through a real estate referral to preview The Villages in Florida from his neighbors back in PA (David and Connie Richey. We spent about a week together and he and I got to laugh, share and really get to know each other. He even came to our local Greek Church for our annual Greek festival where he got to meet my family. They all loved him especially my mom. We also got to spend time together with David and Connie and I can honestly say they loved him like their own family member. He was so full of kindness, compassion and what a great sense of humor. I was deeply saddened by the news of his passing.. With deepest sympathy. Tsolakis Family.

Our Tom was one of a kind. He was as ornery as they made him and we lived every minute. Have very fond memories of him that we will always cherish. Rest in peace now with your beautiful Fran.????????
