John “Jack” Rafferty, 59

John “Jack” Rafferty, 59, of Schwenksville, husband of Angela C. (Burke) Rafferty, passed away Friday October 20, 2023 at the Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Francis and Anne (O’Donnell) Rafferty.

Jack was a loving husband, father, Popi, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed. He cherished summer vacations to Sea Isle City with his family. Jack was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He coached youth CYO sports at St. Mary’s in Schwenksville. Jack worked as an underwriter for Prudential for over 20 years and then for Leflar Enterprises after retirement.

Surviving along with his wife is his daughter Brittany Candelore wife of John; son Sean Rafferty; grandson Lennon Candelore; brothers Francis Rafferty, Martin Rafferty husband of Janet, and Brian Rafferty husband of Kathy; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jack was predeceased by his sister Kathy Rafferty Moyer, and his niece Shannon Kathleen Rafferty.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Shannon K. Rafferty to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Checks made out to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation can be mailed to P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352. Please remember to write in memory of Shannon K. Words cannot express my shock and sadness upon hearing of Jack's passing. Angela, Brittany, John, Sean and Lennon, you are in my prayers. Jack was a wonderful man and we had many, many good times and laughs together.
